Scooby's Home Bodybuilding Workouts Heavy Alternate |
The "heavy weight alternate" technique allows you to lift heavy with lots of rest between sets but also allows you to do twice as many sets as you can with a heavy workout. First, choose 2 complimentary exercises, like bench press and pec deck, pull-ups and dumbbell rows, or bicep curls and dips. Using heavy weight do 3-5 reps of the first exercise with slow, strict form then hurry over to the other machine and 3-5 reps using heavy weight on the second exercise. After this intense exercise, take 5 full minutes of rest. You can also do this with three exercises, especially with leg workouts.
